The business name "Ivan Mohawk" was born from my deep connection to my family and heritage. "Ivan" is a middle name that I share with my great-grandfather, my great-uncle, my cousin, and my nephew. "Mohawk" is the street I grew up on in West Hartford, CT (Mohawk Drive).

I began building at a young age, helping my father manage buildings in Hartford doing basic repairs. As a teen, I worked summers alongside a master carpenter learning the trade. In my adult years, I continued this passion in Colorado, where I would work on projects between gigs with my mambo band. When I moved back East, to New York City, I worked at a high end cabinetry shop and started an art installation business including gallery remodels. Over time, my work has evolved into Ivan Mohawk, where I specialize in backyard upgrades, door and cabinetry restorations, custom fabrications, cabinetry, playhouses, and custom dollhouses.
